Overall PSLE

This years's PSLE is very difficult.. I am not sure how much I would get for PSLE, but I guess I won't mt myee target of 230. It might be a disaster for me!!!

Before PSLE, I was studying & pratising quite hard. The first paper (english), was overall, quite okay. The second paper (mathematics) was VERY DIFFICULT, in fact, it was the toughest paper I've done.. I doubt I could get a B for mathematics. If mathematics was so straight forward & easy (look @ the picture at the top right hand corner), pigs might fly! I was more confident for the third paper (chinese). Overall for the forth paper (science), is better than mathematics! Like duh..

After PSLE, like now, I have all my freedom! HAHA. Anyway, PSLE is over! What's the use of worrying so much about it now? All we have to do is to P-R-A-Y and P-R-A-Y and P-R-A-Y until we get our results.. I wonder what school would accept me?!

I am just a useless freak!

Term2 Week3: S'pore Kindness Movement

When we ask what's the meaning of the word "kindness", it means helpful, polite & considerate. I believe that if you are kind to somebody, good things will happen to you. We can be kind by doing simple things. Helping a blind man or an old lady cross the road is an example. Even giving up your seat is an example of kindness.

I think Sinaporeans are doing a good job so far.. Sometimes in MRTs, I see people giving up their seat to the elderly, which is... Good! (:

Term2 Week2: Learning Journey @ National Museum of S'pore

I always thought museums are B-O-R-I-N-G... But I was wrong! Very wrong. I saw the swinging lights & I thought it is nice! When I received the companion, I thought it was kindda'.. Cool? The staff told us how to operate the companion and I had problem putting the "headset" over my ears!! (First time using this kind of "headset"...)

We had to press the numbers eg. 66 then press GO. Then they would start introducing and such.. The thing that interests me was the types of money found in the past and the different kinds of televisions. I was quite surprised when I saw a television that looked like a vacumm cleaner to me.. Haha!

I also enjoyed smelling different kinds of smell.. I remember Vikaesh smelling from a container and then gave a very weird expression.. LOL. We also touched the different kinds of cloth made of silk.. Pei Jun kept telling me that she prefers this cloth more than that, and that cloth more than this...

Overall, I had enjoyed the trip and learnt alot of things. If I had the chance again, I would like to explore more as this time was abit rush! ):

Term2 Week1: Earth Hour

The Earth Hour is an annual international event created by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature/World Wildlife Fund), held on the last Saturday of March, that asks households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change.

I will partipate in this activity by switching off most of the electrical appliances @ home. During the Earth Hour, I will ask my parents if I can go to the playground & park to play.. and maybe exercise! I think switching off all the electrical appliances will not be enough. We will have to practice/practise the 3R's and they are Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle. (:

Actually, this will be my first time practising the Earth Hour exercise... Hehe!

Term1 Week10: After Class Test 1

Phew.. After CA1, I felt so relaxed. The CA1 papers are very difficult. Below are the results that I've gotten back.

ENG: 63/95
MA: 71/100 (Improved by abit!)
CHI: 67.5/90
SCI: 59/100 (I deproved badly)

I felt that I could actually do better than this! Because in my maths, I had alot of CARELESS MISTAKES!!! To further improve my english, I will read a passage everyday and do assessments. For maths, I wil practice more. For chinese, I would attention to teacher in class and for science, I would take down notes and TRY TO remember them. Anyway, all the best to Trina for her SA1!

Other than tuitions, I dont have any other activities.

Monday:
-Science Supplementery (1.30pm- 3.00pm)
-tuition (5.30pm-7pm)

Tuesday:
-I.T. Class (1.30pm- 3.30pm)

(I got supplementery until 2.30pm, then have to rush home to go tuition)

Wedenesday:
-Chinese Supplementery (1.30pm-2.30pm)
-no tuition

Thursday:
- tuition (5.30pm-7pm)

Friday:
-tuition (7pm- 8.30pm)

Garhh!! 4 tuitions per week, so tiring. I wish all my efforts would be paid off...

Went to S'pore Turf Club

Hey, it's school holidays! Did you go anywhere? I went to the S'pore Turf Club yesterday (25.11.08) to watch the Madacascar 2, Escape To Africa's Mascot. I went there with my uncle, my 2 cousins and my grandmother. The trip there was... OK? We watched ppl bet horses there. Like... horses race then those ppl there will bet and see which horse come in first. There was a photo taking with the Madacascar's characters... But we didnt take photo with them. The queue was TOO LONG! About 8 plus, we went to have our dinner at the Ang Mo Kio area. We had.. fish, beansprout and duck meat. And rice! It was a filling one. When I went home, it was 9.15pm. I watched the 9pm show on Channel 8. After watching, I went to bathe and slept...

Holidays are fun/boring.

I bet everybody will be like, "Yay, holidays are here! Can play computer till midnight." I think holidays are just a waste of timee..

Even though we get to rest, I think it's just TOO LONG for us to rest. Want to bet? I bet next year, everybody will not be concentratin' on their work for the first week or so? Because even though they're in school, their mind are still thinking 'bout the holidays.

I think we should now use this time (during the holidays) to revise our P6 works. Byee!!

Reflections (Term 4 Week 9): The Naext Step Forward

Hi, everyone! I am back. In this year (2008), I had achieved... helping out on family nite 2008? It was fun, interesting and I think it's worth spending a night helping out... Better than playin' computer @ home.. I think that's the ONLY THING I have participated! ):

The misses.. Talking about misses, I did VERY BADLY in my SA2 exams... But at least I had tried my best... (: Other than that... I dont think I have anythin' else to say... Now, just hope that I can get good marks for science (cos I havent get back yet!) Maybe you can take a look at my targets for SA2? Yupp, a good idea.. Unless you are VERY busy. Ya.. I know I look SMART but actually, I am NOT... I got 72.5/95 for english, 67/100 for mathematics and 54/90 for chinese. See, I will never get into a good school... D:

I also hope the I.T. test is easy! (: And more people vote for me for book recommendation, PLEASE!!!!!! I dont want to do it again and again...

Mr. Tan, forget about the book recommendation lar... No need to do book recommendation can??!!

Okay, lets forget about the past. Now, for year 2009. My target for 2009 is.. to get good marks? I hope can get into good school. Because, there will be gangfights and gangsters in those NOT VERY GOOD schools... So, I hope I can achieve what I what next year!!!

Hello, how's your revising coming along? I have been studying for the past few weeks. Well, every nite, I will read a passage from the english and mother tongue textbook to my parents. My parents said I had improved. I am going to tell you my exam targets.

Paper 1:
English composition-> 28/40 and above.
Mother tongue composition-> 28/40 and above.
English listening comprehension-> 18/20.
Mother tongue listening comprehension-> 17/20.

Paper 2:
English language-> 75%
Mother tongue language-> 72%
Mathematics-> 70%
Science-> 75%

Reflection (Term 4 Week 1): Reading

Hey guys out there, do you like reading? I love it. But just that, sometimes I dont FEEL like reading.. Thats all. Reading is VERY important. You may want to ask why reading is SO important. Reading helps in our studies. Of course, that is IF you read good books.

I dont really read comics. I find that kind of books too many pictures. Joke book is 1 of my favourites. I dont like very THICK and FAT books. I will get bored if I keep reading the same books for weeks (yupp, my reading is SUPER slow).

I dont really COUNT how many books I read in a month. But I think I dont read alot (not as much as Tino does, :P) but I also dont read too little.

As I said, reading improves our studies & believe me, it really does.

I think computer games will not affect our reading.

The school can get pupils to go to the library more often. Pupils dont go to the library because they dont have MUCH time to do so.

Term3 Week10 Reflections: Computer Games

Hey, friends! Do you like to play computer games? I do. But just that I cant play. Cos my mother wont allow. I only can do blogging, do presentations and such... ):

But sometimes in school, IF I have the chance to play games. Of course I did play! (: I normally like to play cooking games, racing and sometimes, I like to play online games. But obviously, other classmates would play computer games for like, HOURS!!! Well, I would use about 1 hour a day so... A week would be, about 7 hours. But somedays I dont play (especially on weekends).

You see, if your game is REALLY nice. It WILL affect your studies. Because normally people would play @ night so when they sleep, they will think of their games. So if they think of their games the whole night, they wont get enough sleep. And the next day, they will feel sleepy and unable to concentrate during their lessons.

Actually I am aware of pupils addited to their computers. But I dont know what I am going to do about it! ._."

Well, after so much of stress, what is your results? Well anyway, I am NOT interested to know... Anyway, this is what I got for the CA2s':

English: 38/50 -> 76%

Mathematics: 40/50 -> 80%

Chinese: 41/50 -> 82%

Science: 33.5/50 -> 67%

I think actually my science CAN be better. But, what we dont wanna happen already happen. What can we do about it?

Well, studying... Assessments... Homeworks... Tuitions... What else? I had enough liao... Life is boring... Okay... Maybe parents and teachers WERE right... But that was only SOMETIMES. Because other times, they gave too much homeworks and assessments.

Actually, my wish is to get 75/100 and above for ALL subjects. But, the problem is, will I be able to ACHIEVE it??? Hope I can be able to.

National Day Celebration

I think this year's National Day Celebration is NOT a good one. Why? Because I went back home CRYING IN PAIN!!! I hate that. Let me tell you what happened.

It was supposed to be a good one, but end up... I think they can improve it lar... Okay, sorry. I know you all excited to know... Oh, start har? Okay, okay.. Start.

Okay, it was Friendly day, I mean, Friday. Yupp. Me & my brother woke up @ 5.30a.m. Brushteeth, bathe, eat breakfast and then went down to the SAME OLD place to w8 for our bus. We reached school at about 7.05a.m. I w8 for Trina while my brother go up to the hall. I was excited. But that was AT FIRST! When Trina reached school, both of us went up to the hall. It was crowded. Why? Dont forget the P1s and P2s. They were there too.

Then the P5s leave first. We had to go to the cross- country. I didnt really LIKE IT. Anyway, we had to run... 2km, I think. And it was tiring. I hope next year I no need to run lor..

Sleepy Kids

Not sleeping early is a problem with most of the kids. 8/10 children will sleep after 10.00pm. For me,

Weekdays: Around 9.30pm

Weekends: Depends...

Yupp. What about you? Do you sleep earlier than me? Or later? If you calculate them together, I should have about... 8 hours of sleep. Which is not quite good. I normally come back home and play with my younger cousins, homeworks, assessments and then REST!!! I dont really feel STRESSED UP. You know, like I have to do homework until MIDNIGHT!!! That'd be crazy.

I advise parents not to give their children too much homework. Enough is enough. It's like if you pour water into a container and when the container is full, it will flow out. Same concept. (:

I wouldn't want to see my friends with panda-eyes the next day. =P

Hey, I also watch the NDP show on TV. But this year, I got to watch it LIVE!!! It was a good one after all. Let me tell you what happen.

If I'm not wrong, I were supposed to assembly in the hall @ 2.00p.m. My father drove me & my best friend, Trina to school and when we alighted, we saw ALOT more people walking in the school. Most of them were P5 students and teachers.

We settled down and read our book. It is very noisy that day as alot of people are excited to go to the NE show. Well, seriously I didnt really READ... Because of the DEAFENING NOISE ):

The best part is the fireworks & the aeroplanes(black knights). But there are also the WORST part is that there were NO vegetables in the BURGER!!!??? It tasted weird. Me and Trina ate our burgers @ 5.30pm. But fortunately, we were so engrossed in the dance that we didnt even care. (:

And then, we did the wave... Everything there was.. good? I should say... it was AWESOME! I love it.. But I think it will be a ONCE IN A LIFETIME oppotunity. Sad... ):
